So two days before valentine’s day I went to see this movie. and it was something…. I read the books a while back and I kind of wanted to see the movie . I went with a group of colleagues which was very fun.
Disclaimer; If you are not of age in your country and you are not allowed to see the movie in the cinema’s. The movie will be sixteen plus or eighteen plus depending on the country. I suggest to not read this post. Although I do think it’s save to read I don’t think it’s something you would like. If you want to see the movie and/or just read the post you can do that at you own ‘risk’. Enjoy xo
Where is the story about?
Literature student Anastasia Steele’s life changes forever when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey. She kind of falls for him but he has this weird part of his life that she is very curious about.
What did I think?
Well it was something. It was fifty shades of funny and fifty shades of interesting. I was with my colleagues and it was just very funny. It had some funny parts in the movie for sure. I saw somethings that I didn’t really wanted to see but overall it was fine. You didn’t see lots of the sexual stuff. Yes, you saw a boob from time to time but if you have ever seen a Dutch movie you know that that isn’t that out there. We see a lot more in films.
They are filled with that kind of material so it wasn’t anything special for me because it’s pretty normal here. It’s just boobs you might have them, it’s not portrayed in a very weird or sexual way as far as I thought. The ending was bad (like in the books). I liked the movie but my thoughts aren’t set in stone yet I really need to see the other movies when they come out to know if I like it. It was fine but I don’t have the feeling I need to see it again.
The story is actually very strange and that’s the point but in the books you hear Ana’s thoughts so you kind of know what she thinks but in the movie you don’t so it goes like “yea show me what you want to do” he does that and then he wants to comfort her and she goes “stay away from me” and I was thinking you could have said stop? Ana is just a frustrating young women in that aspect. As well as Christian who isn’t good at waiting until Ana agrees with his way of life. To all boys and girls out there. It is not okay, you always wait for consent.
And something I also found strange but I already found that weird in the books is that she was a virgin but she does crazy sex things after her first time on the same day, how? Which is unbelievable and last but not least this Christian Grey seems more into Vanilla then the one in the books. It’s good that it isn’t like the book exactly because then it would be porn and they did a wonderful job by not making it that kind of movie.
It was alright. If you have the legal age, yea I think you should watch it.
Would you like to see the movie or are you going to skip this one?
