Paper Towns (2015)

Finally, finally I can talk about Paper Towns, it took me forever to finally watch it  but I did and at last we can talk about it on the blog.

Where is the movie about?

After an all-night adventure, Quentin’s life-long crush, Margo, disappears, leaving behind clues that Quentin and his friends follow on the journey of a lifetime.

What did I think?

Although the beginning was cute I kept thinking that in the book they lived next to each other instead of across from each other and somehow that bugged me. I am now not sure (it might be the other way around) but it felt odd and I don’t have the book by hand otherwise I would have looked it up but if you know that I am wrong tell me.

It was good overall, I wouldn’t have pictures Quintin and Margo as the actor and actress that played them but they did an amazing job portraying the characters as good as they could. The director changed a lot from books which was kind of upsetting in a way but it was good and it was understandable. On the other hand, the ending was so different. It made the whole thing different, the timeline, feelings but it was better anyway there was more closure.

But it’s stepping away from what the writer wants and although I have my thought about John Green, I got his ending, it left me heartbroken and confused but I got it and the movie didn’t do that the movie didn’t stay with me for days. It didn’t make me want to talk about it to people.

It was good but it could have been better, nevertheless I enjoyed it.

Book or movie?

Do you need to ask? Book no question about it. Do you want to read my thought about the book? I will add a link when I write about the book.

Have you seen Paper Towns and what did you think?

Lots of love,
