Benefit roller lash mascara

It might be me but good lashed make your whole look. When your lashes look great (and eyebrows too, let’s be honest) you just look fab. A good mascara makes you look awake and make your eyes pop. When I bought the benefit mascara a while ago I wanted  to see ifit was truly as amazing as everyone around me said.

What does benefit say about their product?
It’s a roller for lashes! The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls? While the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. Contains provitamin B5 and serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits. The side of the box says: 97% said it visibly lifts lashes, 87% said it gives long-lasting curl, 94% said eyes look more wide open. However, these numbers come from a survey on 31 women after 4 weeks. Which isn’t a large group at all.

Packaging
I like the packing it’s black and pink. It’s very curly and cute. The mascara itself is black with a pink top and the top of the mascara has texture. The cap has this as well. Which is nice because it makes opening and applying mascara easy. The mascara doesn’t have a distinctive smell. It doesn’t smell bad it’s just doesn’t really have a smell in particular. The mascara is a full black. It isn’t waterproof and can smutch a bit in rain (and crying obviously). It stays on the whole day for me, I do feel like the curl is a bit out of it at the end of the day, that could just simply be my lashes.

The product
When I first tried this product in all honestly I didn’t understand the hype about it. I like the applicator and liked the product itself. However, my experience wasn’t magical. Until I started to apply it a bit different and basically ‘roll’ the mascara onto my lashes really using the applicator. I feel like it transforms my eyes, the mascara makes my eyes look so pretty. It separates the lashes, and makes them look full without it being clumpy. The mascara gives me volume and I adore the way it looks on my eyes. I don’t like very volumizing mascaras which make your lashes all group together. I never loved that and this is the first mascara I tried that separates my lashes so beautifully. Now you might say that this is just because I changed the way I apply my mascara and don’t get me wrong I thought at first so too. However I have tried this technique with other mascaras and haven’t been able to make it look the same or even really similar.

The product is on sale in black as well as brown. The full size one retails for € 26,77. The mini is only sold in black and retails for € 13,26. I actually got the product in England and it’s a bit cheaper there. I will definitely buy this product again.

Have you tried the roller lash? Did you like it?

Lots of love,
Melissa
