Songs from the 80’s that I can never let go off

I am a 90’s baby, being born in ’97 so the late ‘90’s however my parents (especially my dad) have a big big love for songs from the 80’s. When we went we used to go on holiday my dad would put these songs on blast in the car. My dad has list after list with songs he loves. When I was scrolling through Spotify, I stumbled across the ‘all out 80s’ playlist. It was late and I was blogging and doing some social media scrolling when I found it. I put my earphones in and pressed play. It threw me back to my childhood. If I close my eyes I swear I can almost smell the French air around me. I can almost feel the warm sun on my face through the window. I can almost taste the summer. When I opened my eyes again I was kind of disappointed that I wasn’t ten years old again.

A quick side note is that when I was a little girl, I didn’t speak English. So there are songs that I love just by the sounds and not by the lyrics. So here are a few songs I jam to when it’s cold and late at night. Longing for summer. In no particular order I give you eight songs from the 80’s that I really like:

Africa –TOTO

Girls Just Want To Have Fun –Cyndi Lauper

Never gonna give you up –Rick Astley

Wake me up before you Go-GO- Wham

We built this city –starship

You give love a bad name –Bon Jovi

Red red wine – UB40

Funny enough, a while ago I listened to this song in my dad’s car and I released they talk about wine, I never knew. That’s what I say about the fact that I had no clue.

Purple Rain-Prine

The list is obviously one I would check out. I excluded Michael Jackson songs and Queen songs. Because they have many more memories than just summer, also I still hear them often so that’s not really fair.

What songs have you remind of your childhood?

Lots of love,
Melissa
