The Life List (2025)
This film had been on my list ever since it was announced, but I hadn’t had time to watch it because, truthfully, I felt I needed to really make a night of it. I watched it with my mother, and goodness, it was worth it.
The movie in short
A woman (Alex) revisits her childhood aspirations, endeavouring to achieve her old goals, only to discover that pursuing these lifelong dreams takes her on an unforeseen and surprising journey. I got this information here.

My Thoughts
I really enjoyed this film; I cried a ton. I admit that I did not like the mother very much by the time she passed. I understood where she was coming from and also that it would all end up all right in the end, but it felt extremely cruel to fire her daughter and let her essentially be on her own without any inheritance. Alex did not resent her brothers and sisters in laws, but she really could have. I think her mother was playing with her in that sense. Not to mention that she got a whole lot of DVDs with a personal message from her mother, but her brothers did not.
It ended exactly how I wanted it to end, and it was very good. I must say I felt that they could have shown a little bit more of her accomplishments in the list, as I felt the compilation went by a little bit too fast. I didn’t like the psychiatrist all that much and was glad it did not go anywhere, but the problems in their relationship seemingly came out of nowhere due to the completion. Also, the plotline that Brat’s (love interest) girlfriend was absolutely perfect, mainly due to her looks, was off-putting and very shallow.
I was glad Alex became closer to her family and that she got what she wanted in the end. It was a lovely film that brought many tears, but was still a bit of a feel-good film. If you have a night, you should absolutely give it a go.
