My Thoughts
Overall, I thought it was a very good film. I thought it was interesting and fun. I loved Nina and her relationship with Eleanor. I found the arc between Nina and her dad to be very interesting and very emotional.

My biggest issue with the whole thing is not only the stolen identity, which could have been rectified so very easily without losing face. But the way they went about it. I really don’t like lying, and this film made me very uncomfortable because of it. It was deeply chringy, I suppose. I was on pins and needles until all of it came out.

I personally would have liked the idea of the watcher also not knowing Eleanor lied about that in particular. If in the flashbacks with Bessy, it was Eleanor speaking, and then later we find out it’s the other way around (in the big scene at the end). We would be in Nina’s shoes, and I think I would have found the lying still bad, but I wouldn’t have felt as awful throughout.

If not that, I would have liked for us to have seen a bit more of Eleanor struggling with this lie. Overall the movie was shot in a great way. I thought it was an enjoyable watch, and I definitely recommend it.
