Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Caroll
Welcome back to the forgotten shelf. This is day 26!
Watch the video for today, here or here.

The Book in short
“I can’t explain myself, I’m afraid, sir,” said Alice, “Because I’m not myself, you see.”
When Alice sees a white rabbit take a watch out of its waistcoat pocket, she decides to follow it, and a sequence of most unusual events is set in motion. This mini book contains the entire topsy-turvy stories of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, accompanied by practical notes and Martina Pelouso’s memorable full-colour illustrations.

My Thoughts
I loved Alice in Wonderland. I thought it was incredibly interesting and fun. I read it as a child, as I said. Through the looking glass, though, was not as fun. It was still an interesting story, and I did like it.
However, I did not have the same fun, nostalgic vibe I had with Alice in Wonderland, which made a difference in how I perceived the story.
I am glad I read it, because I tend not to make time for certain books; this is one of those. I know the story. I like it, but I don’t love it enough to reread, and therefore, I never quite felt the pull (enough) to pick it up and read it. I thought about it an awful lot, but there was no direct pull. Until now and in the end, I’m glad I read it.
That was the forgotten shelf for today. I’ll see you tomorrow.
