The Book in short
In this historic romance, young Elizabeth Bennet strives for love, independence and honesty in the vapid high society of 19th-century England.

My Thoughts
I had started this book before; I even annotated it, and it made me remember why I do not like to do that. Anyway, I could hardly get into the story because of it, and thus I watched the film. Is this how the people who make book reports after watching the film do it? Anyway, with the film fresh in mind, I did indeed finish the book

I loved the book, even more than I liked the film. But I had hoped I liked it even better. I had hoped for it to be my absolute favourite book, and I think this was because I had put my expectations too high. But overall, I think it was a wonderful book that I will definitely read again at some point. It is for sure a book I recommend to you.

That was the forgotten shelf for today. I’ll see you tomorrow.
