Irish Wish (2024)
Do you remember how I went all out in 2022, giving you a Christmas film review every single month leading up to Christmas? Well, I’m back, and it’s better than ever.
The film in short
When the love of Maddie’s life gets engaged to her best friend, she puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland.

My Thoughts
At the beginning, I did feel for Maddie, but at the same time, she liked the idea of Paul instead of actually liking Paul. He was a bit better when he was with her friend, and they had more in common, but he was generally speaking not that great.
I liked the story overall and thought it was a very nice cosy watch. The shots of Ireland were fantastic and made up for the lack of substance in certain places. I liked the idea of the wish, and the ending was good, but I would have liked to watch more of that. But that might be because I really did not like Paul.
Finally, I found the way they did the scenes with Maddie’s mum to be very fun, and I also loved how she learned to tell Paul off for his reliance on her.
