Clinique Lash Power mascara in Dark Chocolate

Brown mascara is the best mascara and I will stand on this rooftop shouting it some more. Brown mascara is the best mascara, not only for blondes or redheads. No, no, my Brunette friends. Our lashes pair lovely with brown mascara.

What does Clinique say about their product?
Who It’s For: All Skin Types.
What It Is: A lengthening mascara that stays put for 24 hours without smudging or smearing.
What It Does: Mascara with staying power. Vows to look pretty for 24 hours without a smudge or smear. Lasts through rain, sweat, humidity, tears. Yet the formula removes easily with warm water. Unique brush reaches and beautifully lengthens even the tiniest lashes. Ophthalmologist Tested.

How To Use

  • Start at lash roots, wiggling brush to lash tips. Repeat to build.
  • For lower lashes, hold the wand vertically.
  • Clinique’s innovative thermal technology helps it stay put for 24 hours—and is easy to remove.
  • Use fingertips to splash warm water (bath temperature is ideal) on lashes several times and press gently.
  • Or, wet a cotton pad with warm water, press it to the eye, then wipe away.
  • Not recommended for use with Lash Building Primer.

The packaging
In a sense, it is said when the box is so pretty but the tube is not, especially because I don’t put the mascara in the box again as it would be too much of a hassle to take it out every day. What I would give for a tube with the color and print of this box. I would take the mascara everywhere even though I don’t have to.

The wand
The wand is very thin and it makes it easy to move it around your eye. I never put mascara on my bottom lashes although it might be my blinking because the outer part of my bottom lashes always get coated anyway. So, if you are worried about accidentally putting it in your eye while doing your bottom lashes, I do not think it would happen but again, I do not put mascara on my bottom lashes so I cannot say for sure.

What do I think
I feel a bit stupid for not looking up how to remove the mascara, as I love it but I was a bit unsure if it made my lashes fall out. Because it is so hard to remove the staying power really is there. But I have not thought about using warm water which is what I will be doing from now on as it’s true that it goes off so easily in the shower. I just never made the connection.

I love brown mascara, I feel it is superior to black mascara. This mascara is the type of mascara I have wanted forever. It has great staying power. It separates the lashes, it makes them look long but does not clump. I do think the product is expensive, but I do believe the value is there. I think the drugstore just does not have a mascara similar to this. I do enjoy the product even when I do believe the price could be a lot lower. I am also a contact user, and this mascara did not cause any eye problems which is an absolute must.
This product is sold online and in retail stores for roughly 21 US dollars.
