Essence skin lovin sensitive concealer in 20 medium

Here we are with a concealer review, concealers always trouble me as I have quite dark under eyes. I am always on the hunt for products that do not actively harm the skin, in the store this one seemed great so I decided to give it a go.

What does Essence say about their product?
The beauty all-rounder for a flawless complexion: the SKIN LOVIN’ CONCEALER easily hides spots, redness and under-eye circles. Its lightweight, non-comedogenic formula is barely noticeable and nourishes the skin with moisturizing aloe vera. The concealer can be individually built up for medium to high coverage.

The packaging
The packaging is very cute, I love the blue colour. I think it’s very cute and does make it feel clean which is of course the point. The applicator is lovely, it’s quite long but also sturdy which gives you a lot of control over how much product you want to apply. It’s also nice if you want to use a brush with the product.

Ingredients
AQUA (WATER), ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, COCONUT ALKANES, GLYCERIN, TRIETHYLHEXANOIN, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 DIISOSTEARATE/POLYHYDROXYSTEARATE/SEBACATE, DIISOSTEAROYL POLYGLYCERYL-3 DIMER DILINOLEATE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, STEAROYL INULIN, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, ALUMINA, PHENOXYETHANOL, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).

What do I think
The product is very nice, it does not smell like anything. The product is easy to work into the skin and does stay relatively well in warm weather. I got the product for around 3 euros which I think is a good and fair price.

The swatches
As you can see the concealer is quite light on my hand. In general, the concealer comes in three colours and I think this is not right. Overall Essence colour range is quite terrible throughout the year I can use the colours from 2 to 4. Which usually leaves one shade too light and sometimes one shade too dark. And that shade isn’t even that dark. I find this quite troublesome. Girls who have different skin from me also deserve to shop for beauty products on a budget. I believe that Essence should do better on this aspect.
