After the Credits

Inside Man (Season 1; 2022)

This show was recommended to me on Netflix, and I wanted to give it a go. I think because I had recently re-watched Sherlock, as well as the fact that I added Dracula to my list. This show is from the same maker.

The series in short
A prisoner on death row in the US and a woman trapped in a cellar under an English vicarage cross paths in the most unexpected way.

My Thoughts
I did think it was interesting from the start. I do think that series that are about an hour a episode are movies, but that might just be me. The opening scenes (the first 15 minutes or so) were interesting enough for me to keep watching.

It was an interesting show with quite a few twists. I did like the storylines with Grieff a lot more than I did Harry. Although it was very interesting, I had a hard time, as I really did not really like Janice. Her relationship with Ben gave me a bit of a strange vibe. I’m not sure why, but I did feel sorry for her, but I did not like her personally. Which was a bit difficult then, mind you, I also didn’t like Harry overly much.

The show was interesting, and I flew through it. I watched it right after the other, and it kept me hooked throughout. I liked Mary and her constant rants about how hard murdering people is due to the admin alone. Those moments were a bit of fun light within quite a heavy series. Her ending within the series was quite sad.

I thought Beth was a very strong character and liked her immensely; she really made the whole show worth it to me and brought the storylines together.

The Details
1 season, 4 episodes. Every episode is about an hour.
